And my father kept that letter framed in his office for the rest of his life, and now my brother has that letter. MM: He was accusing everyone of being a communist and he was doing it for his own political gain. I had to book on a ship to come out here. the people were screaming inside. JE: What was it like for you to come here to the United States and to Tulsa? I walked in, and the gypsy said, I dont do the crystal ball. And we also used to play Monopoly. We always went to regular museums. It's surprising how much a musical selection can affect mourning. He helped me with the childrens museum and thats how we got Southwestern Bell. At the time of my birth, my parents lived in Maud, Oklahoma, but I was born in St. Joseph because that was the home of my mothers parents.
